Getting out again.

The simplest things continue to bring me the most joy. Walking with my family nails it most times.

Time to take a breath

Just got home after a week away in Majorca with my family and I've got to say the chance to slow down and take a breath was much more needed that I thought.

I still have to use a mobility scooter a lot of the time and hop around on crutches, but that didn't stop me. I even got out a couple of times to catch a sunrise, something I've been wanting to do for quite a while.

Needless to say now comes the ordeal of returning to work tomorrow, but as is always the case I remain great full I have a job to go back to.

Now I can hop

So, its been eight weeks since my bike accident and I've just about perfected the art of hopping. I've got fair swift on one leg even if \i do say so myself. A few more days and I hope (not hop) to get the go ahead to start putting some weight on my leg, get on crutches and stop hopping. Maybe even get out of the wheelchair. I've just about nailed wheeling it now, so its clearly time to walk again.

Out and about

One of the hardest things about having a broken hip for me has been the inability to get out and walk. Walking has been for so long a great way for me to slow down enough to smell the roses and take a breath.

Its also a great chance to pick up my camera and see the world in a different way. That's what I got the chance to do last weekend, not walk, but shot.

I truly look forward to the day I can walk about with my camera again.
